Default Secret Papers on a Train

Isnt this like a film script, why the hell was a top civil servant on public transport at all with such important papers, I see hes been suspended, probably on full pay, for his major error, shouldnt this sort of document be guarded in a secure van , not on a train, its beyone reason.

Probably obeying the government's edict for using public transport instead of gas guzzling car.

It most certainly is Donna!......it would be laughable if it wasn't so serious, what on earth was he doing with these 'top secret' papers anyhow, taking them home like a Schoolboy would his Homework, plus a possible scenario is a Burgler breaking into his Home overnight and stealing them, then goodness knows what could happen!

Yes, but the greatest is the news from yesterday.
My fear about IDs and the rest (message 'the innocent have nothing to fear!) was the very strong possibility of wrongful arrest - it can happen.

What was the latest 'we will give your £3000 per day for every day you have been wrongfully arrested'! Great now how many are willingly going to be downloading
stuff (whatever) to BE 'wrongfully' arrested

A measure of the cackhanded way this government runs the country.

the next thing that will happen is theyll lose 5 million personal details of people on a cd or the personal details of people wanting to take their driving test or something crazy like that ............ whatsthat? ...err ..apparently thats already happened . seriously though these things happen but nothing ever changes does it ? no safegaurds are put in place to stop it happening again .in the private sector if important papers were lost or read by a competitor there would be mega sackings and rollickings handed out ,probably why it only really happens in the public sector !

This isn't the first time that this has happened.

I'm not too sure about Identity cards, it's all very well saying "the innocent have nothing to fear", but does that mean I have carry this card with me at all times?.......such as popping down to my Corner store for a box of eggs, I don't have it on me for a 'spot check' by the (probably) private Police force that will carry out random checks here and there, and I am then arrested, is that going to be the scenario?

Also having to 'pay' for this Identity card really is rubbing salt in the wound!

In fact I've just made up my mind (as I'm sure many more will) that I'm not going to pay for it, what will the Government do then, lock us all up?

If secret papers can be left on trains, think how many identity cards will be lost.

Yes!........I'm not a 100% sure but I believe Identity cards are compulsory in a couple of European Countries, such as France, would anyone know if it's compulsory to have them with you at all times?
