I used to belong to a website for my car - the Nissan 350Z. They used to hold regular meetings for their members – though I never attended because although their forum was useful, I can’t really talk cars.

So I was wondering, do members of the Brit forum ever meet up and talk films?

I have met a couple of forum members and they didn't appear to be mad axe-murderers...though as Bats would probably be able to tell us, you can't judge a mad axe-murderer by their cover.

No, really. A few of us have probably met up at screenings or other film related events. I know I've met a few people who are Britmovie members. But with over 5,000 members around the world it would be hard to get everyone to meet up in one place - cyberspace is often the best place to meet

I have never met anyone on a forum. I normally stay completely anonymous. On another forum I post on - this upset a few people that I had become very friendly with and I was sad about that. But I enjoy having somewhere to go that is separate from my 'real life'. It adds a pleasant extra dimension - free from a certain amount of responsibility. I don't know if I'll ever change my mind or whether anyone would want to anyway. I suppose, the question for all of us, given the above description, is whether Steve crook is going to be there..
