Default Favourite Beers

Here are some of mine, Fullers London Pride, Badger Ales, Fursty Ferrett,Speckled Hen.

My wife does her supermarket shopping online with Asda, my favourite category in beers and lagers are the guest ales, If I havent heard of them I will try them anyway.

Asda is very good for this sort of thing and so is Tesco.

I always liked Budweiser on draught but very few establishments have it now, not keen on Bottles!

Stella Artois in moderation or an 'Extra cold' Guinness........I'm sorry to say I'm not into 'proper' Beers!!

Where to start?

Speckled Hen, Black Sheep, Pedigree, Hartington IPA, Young's Double Chocolate Stout, Badger's Golden Glory, 6X, Fruli, Newcastle Brown, Duvel, Guinness, Deuchars IPA and Cain's Dark Mild will do to start with...

Thwaites dark mild, Flying Shuttle, Liberation Ale ( November special ), Lancaster Bomber : Newcastle Brown, there's lots of good English ale out there. I don't often drink larger there's not as much flavour in it as real beer.

Cheers

Dremble Wedge

I prefer Thwaits dark mild to Cains, but have you tried Cains Bannana Beer, now there's a novelty, it does taste of bannanas.

Manchester's Joseph Holt's bottled ales: Fifth Sense; Pioneer; Humdinger; Maple Moon; 1849.

And what's all this about me having me leg off?

Haven't come across Thwaits yet but I'll put it on the list!

I do like fruit beers so there's no reason why a banana-based one wouldn't work.

At Christmas I found a ginger beer - nothing to do with pop but a proper ale made wth ginger! It was really nice...
