have any of you written to stars and had replies ..........Ive send letters to ........


Danny Kaye
Doris Day
David Janssen
Dudley Moore
and they all wrote back with lovely signed photos .................the only one who didnt was Dean Stockwell.

I have only ever written to one actor as a 'fan' and that was Oliver Cotton. He sent back a really nice reply.

I wrote a letter to Jack Klugman years ago, got a signed photo, probably sent by his agent. Still treasure it though.

Miss Doris Day will answer you sometimes with a letter and signed photo got an 8X10 recently from her dated "Carmel and my name on it from her.

wrote a letter to a pop star [ wholl remain nameless ] i wrote " your one of my favourite pop stars , i tape all your songs off the radio " i didnt get a very nice reply . do you think i should have put " your my favourite "as opposed to "one of my favourites" ?

I must admit I did get quite a shock when I listened to the message - couldn't hit redial quick enough and caught her boarding a plane!

When I was very young I wrote fan letters and received autographed photos - some were signed personally and some just had the stamped signature on them.

Several from Debbie Reynolds, a couple from Jane Powell and Liz Taylor, and one each from Howard Keel, Kathryn Grayson, Ava Gardner, Arlene Dahl, Susan Hayward, Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor, Audrey Hepburn, Gregory Peck, Tony Curtis, Janet Leigh, Richard Todd, Stewart Granger, Jean Simmons, Jean Peters.

I need to check my album to see who I've missed.

Youve done well Mrs, still cant forgive Dean Stockwell , even put in a gift from Blackpool in my letter to him, a keyring holder, could it be he didnt care much for Blackpool...mmm
