There was a song called "Down came the Rain" in the 60's. I think the singer

was called Mr Murray or something similar!!

OK some greats form the seventies on :

"The Monster Mash" - Boris Pickett and the Crypt Kickers
(Vincent Price- like take on the whole Frankenstein. Wolf Man/ Dracula monster thing)

"King of the Cops" - Billy Howard
Hilarious medley of TV Detective impersonations

"Chalk Dust" - The Brat
The John McEnroe story put to a rap framework - you cannot be serious!

"IF" - Telly Savalas
A talking record that relied on Savalas's velvety voice - who loves ya' baby?

"The Floral Dance" - Terry Wogan
Absolutely unforgivable. Even your Auntie would hate it.

"Convoy" - CW McCall
The truckers anthem, timed to cash in on the mania for CB late 70's..
Let them truckers roll 10-4.

Does anyone have "Chalk Dust" by The Brat or "King of the Cops" on MP3?
I would love to hear from you if you do!

Thanks and regards,

I'm as mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore!

It was Mitch Murray - I did a single with him called 'Greensleeves' about a Jewish Tailor.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

Wasn't a commercial recording. It was something churned out by a lad [lad? 73 year old lad ] I'll see if I can get in touch with him and get the rest of the lyrics. Actually he does like to hear if any other folk have well known songs murdered in the Spike Jones manner. Any lyricists out there?

Baby sittin' Boogie from the 60s.

.....You couldn't hear it, if they were shooting at me with howitzers!

Kermit and Miss Piggy did do a duet, but I cant remember what it was.

I have a recording of Ray Charles and the jazz singer Betty Carter singing ,"Baby Its Cold Outside," she sounds just like Miss Piggy.
