George Carlin, the great American Comedian has passed away aged 71.

He was a very funny guy! R.I.P. George!!

Although not well known here in the UK, he had his heyday in the sixties I guess. Almost always high on something or other, and mixing his favourite booze too, lost him work I'm afraid. He could be very shocking! 71...no age to die.

A sad loss indeed. I 'found' George Carlin in the very late '70,s when I was working with some American servicemen. very rude, but as has been said, a great and acidic social critic.

I've just spent the last hour listening to excerpts from George Carlin radio interviews on the radio - a very smart and funny man, with a healthy distrust of authority.
