Lol, there's a thread like this running in most forums. They usually end in virtual fisticuffs.

i would guess she probably has a publicity dept who have dreamed this story up .problem is i dont think the general public will swallow such a story anymore without questioning it .

I don't balme the Queen but her 'Advisors'.

In the current climate, where people are struggling with food and fuel prices, maybe to have said nothing would have been wiser..............................

.....You couldn't hear it, if they were shooting at me with howitzers!

I think we ought to get a trust going at Coutts as happened when Windsor Castle went up in smoke.
Although I'm only an impecunious passerine, I'm prepared to start the ball rolling with the following:-
A hazel-nut that not even my mate Rookie can open
Something which might be meat, that a picknicker threw at me the other day
A shiny tin lid that I was saving as an heirloom

"From each according to his means".

Perhaps all the foreign tourists, who are always cited as a good reason to retain the monarchy, would care to cough up.

Isn't this a bit of a personal thing to be asking about her Majesty? At her age?

Oh!

Hard up.
