Rita Daniel, active from mid 1930's to mid 1940's. I know she was in 2 plays, The Dominant Sex 1935, and Marriage A La Mode 1946. If anyone knows of reference guides or other sources with info on her, it is much appreciated. Thank you!

She worked a bit at the Old Vic in the late 1920s-early 1930. Maria in 1928 and one of the Witches in Macbeth 1929 and in Henry VIII in the same year (you probably know about that one as Torin Thatcher was in it!). The same year they were both in something called The Comic Artist at the Player's Theatre, followed by the title role in the Duchess of Malfi with Mr Thatcher as Antonio. In 1930 she was the title role in something called The Witch (set in medieval Sweden) at the Embassy Theatre and in 1934 in The Dominant Sex at the same theatre. Next year she did King at Arms for the RADA players (with a young Anthony Quayle) and in 1937 A Month in the Country at the Westminster Theatre where she did Candida in 1939 after which my minimal research reveals nothing further.

Thanks! I was at the UA library doing further research on her plus found a photo of her in a 1935 issue of Play Pictorial. I know she died in 1951. Is there any way I can find out how she died? Thx
