Default Songs you have warmed to with the passage of time

"Those Were The Days" a huge hit for Mary Hopkin was never one of my favourite songs in my youth although Ihave never really disliked it. Last year I acquired a a very passionate rendition of this song by Liam Clancy, I was bowled over by it.

The song obviously has a greater resonance has one gets older.

What songs have forum members warmed to over the years.?

It's about nostalgia. You don't have as much to be nostalgic about when you're young

I really detest Whitney (Blanket) Houston's rendition of 'I Will Always Love You'. All that screaming and wailing. Then one morning on the radio they played Dolly Parton's original version. It's absolutely beautiful the way she sings it.

So, you know, Ms Houston - leave it to those who can.

Same here I dislike Whitneys version Dollys is far more poignant, I have no time for Houston at all, sad to think that she is the second cousin of a far more arresting singer Dionne Warwick and her Mum sang backing vocals on some Elvis recordings.
