Default Animals in film

Hi.

I would like to write a film script which involves animals. I have an idea for one. I am however concerned about how animals are treat in film and television, I would like to know more about this before sending my script off. I`m sure you all know where I`m coming from.

Does anyone know how I can find out about this?

Thanks,

FG xx

Try some of the animal protection groups like the RSPCA or animals' rights groups like PETA (although be prepared for some extremist views)

Or contact some of the groups that offer animal actors like AnimalActors.co.uk

I'm sure Babe was treated OK!

My daughter worked at Wood Green Animal Shelter in Godmanchester for two years and they raised this issue with one of the visitors who was involved in film work. They were assured that the animals have a much better time than the actors, even down to having a vet on call if the scenes were in the slightest bit demanding. There were also pages of statutory regulations to be adhered to.
Good luck on your project.
Regards,
HG
