Default If you could bring a dead rock star back to life

If you could bring a dead rock star back to life for one gig, who would it be?

John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis, Kurt Cobain, Buddy Holly, Freddie Mercury? Or someone else?

This Day in Music are carrying out a world-wide survey to see which dead rock stars people would want to see again - for one night only!

Who would you pick? You can see a full list and vote on

It has to be Elvis for me, he is my all time favourite and I didnt have the chance to see him live.

Out of the six you mentioned I only saw Freddie Mercury live, although Elvis would be far and away my number one choice I wouldnt say no to to seeing the others with the exeption of Kurt Cobain whose music I never got in too.

This is a very good idea for a thread by the way.

I know I said Elivs earlier on but a close second would be Jaques Brel the footage of him perfoming that can be see on youtube is amazing.

Frank Sinatra would be another one, I wish Iwent to see him when he played over here.

Cyril Davies (Davis) R&B panel beater supreme and without whom, much of what we take for granted might not have happened so swiftly.

LOL I still love Morrissey--I must admit. I'm a die-hard, though the recent solo stuff is a long, long way from the Smiths' heyday.

John Lennon would be my choice.
