Some very strange results.

Could it be argued that Liverpool and Arsenal were playing with one eye on next weeks Champions League ties?
Dismal season so far for Liverpool though.

Watch out for dark horses West Brom., who thrashed Coventry 5-0.

Going on the excellent Man.U. cup performance then Arsenal must be looking over their shoulders, dead worried about the Devils reclaiming the Premiership title.

The rest of the season is going to be very interesting. Swings and roundabouts - may the best team win.

Dave.

Maybe .... I had the impression he was just happy to piss Thompson off!

Much as it pains me, here's the clip from Soccer Saturday:
YouTube - Liverpool 1 - 2 Barnsley - FA Cup (16/02/08)
Certainly seems to be some tension between Le Tissier & Thommo.

Cheers mariocki .... the manic laugh that was heard just before the clip finished was Le Tissier again!

Good to see the 'Pool fans applauding the opposition at the end.

First time Le Tiss has got one over on Liverpool . It must gall him sometimes that he was a great player yet won nothing, and Thompson, an equally great player, practically everything.

Also we should remind him Tranmere 4 Southampton 3, and this was after Southampton led 3 - 0 at HT. (2001)

However now that Liverpool and Arsenal are out they could always go and play each other in UAE or China to recover the lost revenue..

Yeah, but Le Tissier did get to shag that bird out of Emmerdale!

In fairness to them, they are like that....I was at Anfield when City knocked out Souness' Liverpool in a replay about ten years ago. We outsang the Kop (According to those listening on the Radio) before, during and after the game....and the Kop gave our lads a good reception.
Bizarre sight of the day, even then, was seeing (A still pretty young) Robbie Fowler waiting at a bus stop.... he had been injured at Ashton Gate.

We're normally gracious losers. Unfortunately, we seem to be getting a little too much practice at it this season.....

Please Bats, put me out of my misery and tell me who she was.

In grovelling gratitude

Also talking of Emmerdale, having just seen Zulu Dawn, I noticed three of the actors are now starring in the soap.

I liked seeing Citizen Smith's father-in-law as the Quartermaster (Peter Vaughan)
