Sad indeed, and what a player he was on his day for Spurs!!

The finest of his generation and how he loved to play, he really enjoyed himself, it was written all over his face and the crowd loved it too. Except of course if you happen to support the other half of North London you wouldn't have enjoyed one of his finest moments at Wembley, what a free kick, best I have ever seen.

Funny, the gooners have gone missing again, surely nothing to do with yet another 4 goal debacle? Sing when they're winning, they only sing when they're winning!!

Gazza. Stan Bowles. Peter Osgood. George Best. Rodney Marsh. I always think of those players as a particular sub group. Oozing talent. On their day a joy to watch but the flip side of such fantastic talent gave you pause for thought!

He maybe right ... they were not good, but they still got a draw. That's a great result!

How do you think they will go on Sunday Bats, in the Carling Cup Final?

I believe Lampard and Terry will still be on the bench for that one.

Somewhat strangely, I disagree with your hopes - but I doubt you will be

Still, I'm working all day so won't have to watch it.

Won't be a radio on where I am - even if there was, I'd not hear a thing as it will be very noisy.

Just heard Manure's 5th goal go in so that'll keep all the Newcastle fans quiet tomorrow where I'll be.

Will KK last the month?

All the best

That's a good question .... if they get rid of him they'll look even more stupid, but if they keep playing like that have recently ... the drop beckons.

Harry Redknapp on the penalty that beat Sunderland today ...

"Niko wouldn't go down (deliberately). He never likes going down, he doesn't want to get his knees dirty."

Has he won a game yet? I must admit I thought the appointment of Dennis Wise as Technical Director (or whatever his role is) very odd given his inexperience.

Good luck to Spurs, they were my dad's team and the fans have suffered so many barren years so they deserve a bit of silverware. (tho my head says Chelsea will win without the need to hit top gear)

I'm not in the slightest bit surprised at anything KK ever does. He must be just about the most over-rated manager in the last twenty years - although I'm sure someone will come up with a better choice.

I've got to take issue with you on that, DB - no fans deserve any silverware, however many years they've gone without their team winning. They only deserve it if the team is good enough or lucky enough. It would be nice if it were either tomorrow but I wouldn't be holding my breath!

Nice to hear that there some humanity left in football ....

SPURS TO HELP GAZZA
Tottenham have confirmed their scheme to provide support for former players will be actively working to help Paul Gascoigne and his family.
The former Spurs midfielder was sectioned under the Mental Health Act after he was arrested and detained on Wednesday following claims he acted as a "potential menace" at a hotel in Gateshead.
Jonathan Adelman, chairman of the Tottenham Tribute Trust, said Spurs will do everything they can to help support 40-year-old.
"Paul holds a special place in the history of Tottenham Hotspur and it is our clear priority to look to support him and his family at this difficult time," Adelman told the club's official website,
"He was a great player, not only for Spurs but also his country, and our organisation was set up by the club for the express purpose of providing help at such times.
"It is everyone's wish to see Paul well and healthy again. It will be important to determine the best form that this should take.
"Newcastle United Football Club are already in contact with Paul's family and we are liaising with them to determine what support is needed at this time.
"I know I speak for all our supporters and everyone connected with the club in wishing Paul a speedy recovery."

Terrible injury to Arsenal's Eduardo.
His leg was broken in three parts after a challenge from Birmingham defender Taylor.
Arsene Wenger initially called for Taylor to be banned from football for life but later retracted the statement.

I'm sure the rest of the Arsenal players were upset by Eduardo's injury but it is still hard to believe that they gave away the chance to beat a 10 man Brum side.
Clichy completely lost concentration with only minutes to go and gave away a stupid penalty and Arsenal gave away a vital two points.

Maybe Arsenal have now done their dash and Man.U will be hard to stop from here.

Dave.
