I didn't see the match. Out of interest, who played left midfield for the Chavs?

I saw the teamsheet which is why I asked. Without Ca$hley, Malouda or Cole it looks a squad of right-footers apart from Bridge.

That's right, it's not the team I would have selected but the Grantster must have had a plan. I don't like it when Chelsea managers have plans .... I remember that bizarre formation Jose played at Liverpool a couple of years back. Disastrous!

We'll probably meet again if we get past Inter.

For Chelsea it was a Bridge too far.

What was the idiot thinking with that handball in the penalty area?
He let Spurs get right back into the game.

Dave.

All the Gooners gone missing again?? Now why is that a shock??

I sincerely wish Eduardo a speedy recovery, that is the sickest injury in Football. I will never ever forget David Bust of Coventry who had a similar horrendous break, poor fellow. Really feel for the young lad, good player as well, only 21, great shame.

Ramos really had Spurs ready willing and able yesterday, firing on all cylinders from the first kick. Very shrewd Manager, he had it all worked out. Tactically excellent.

Grant on the other hand, big game, big decisions, he made the wrong ones from before the kick off. How can you play two players up front together for the first time in a Cup Final, and then send one out onto the wing??? Hopeless, he proved yesterday he's not up to it. Second best all afternoon. Tactically poor and naive.

I watched the highlights last night and it was a poor display by my boys. As I said to DB7 it reminded me of the time Jose had a 'plan' against Liverpool in the FA Cup a couple of years ago. That went wrong, so did yesterday. Well done, Spurs.

After a weekend of debate regarding tackles in the Premiership, I pointed out to my son that had Billy Bonds, Frank Lampard snr, Dave Mackay, Peter Storey, Tommy Smith, Ron Harris, Norman Hunter, Nobby Stiles, Billy Bremner etc still been playing, injury time may be running at 20 mins per match. One tackle from those guys on today's 'Stars' may have led to a prolonged spell on the turf followed by a limp off the field....................

.....You couldn't hear it, if they were shooting at me with howitzers!

Too true Harley. I can hear the crunch now. Ouch!

Although some of those tough defenders also used to come off second best in tackles.
I can remember Dave Mackay breaking both of his legs in his career.

Dave.
