I think Chelsea have signed one quality player and a bunch of journeymen on Bosman's. Seems as if Roman has thrown the gauntlet down to Jose and said "well if you're that good, go and win the League without splashing another fortune". Somehow they seem to be going sideways or backwards, can't see them improving on last season. Looks like Manure again.

I have just had the most awful day at work for a long time so you guys are cheering me up .... even if the great JT is sidelined by a voodoo curse!

Re Merton Park's post ... if you think Pizarro is the quality player you must think Malouda is a journeyman ... I would disagree with that but concur with that label being placed on Sidwell and Haim. The Special One does have a habit of bringing the best out of run of the mill players though ... with the notable exception of the dreadful Wright-Phillips. Ballack and Shevchenko don't count ... they are just expensive has beens!

All good things come to those that wait - and a gloriously new Premiership season is about to start. Promises to be a cracker of a season.

Here in Australia pay channels FOX SPORTS are covering 15 Premiership matches LIVE this weekend. I think thats more than you can get in the UK.
When matches clash FOX SPORTS DIGITAL will give viewers the choice of what game they would like to watch from a list of 6.
In coming weeks selected CC Championship matches will also be shown live.

Wonderful stuff! Only thing is that weekends will now mean no sleep at all for lovers of the UK game - and there are plenty of them over here.

Let the games begin.
