If Swansea are promoted today (even though they won just now 2-1 ) and Leeds Utd get there points back (15 in all ), then Swansea will be stripped of the automatic promotion, as it will be between 3 ?

Remember Swansea have and can not be promoted until after the Leeds hearing

There's a lot of dignity in that, isn't there? Going out like a raspberry ripple.

Over 5,700 at Aldershot today as we would have been Champions of the Blue Square Premier (Conference), had Torquay not also won today. So we just need a point from our four remaining games now to return to the League. We broke a couple of records today, most number of victories (31) and points in a season (97). Happy days

We at the Bees, the real Bees that is, look forward to our derbies with the Shots next year, Harbottle.
Takes me back to the days of Peter Gelson v Jack Howarth, private war taking place during a football match!
You wouldn't want to hear the words, "Oi mate, did you just spill my pint?". coming from their lips.

It 's down to 2 now Bats
What a great game at The "Theatre of dreams" and well done Arsenal ,they might not have won anything this season but they play the game the way it should be played , I thought they were magnificent today
I Can't wait to get to Stamford bridge now " Come on United "

I May be getting older ,but I refuse to grow up

I am dreading the match on Wigan's mud heap tomorrow ..... at least Chelsea's 'refined long ball tactics' might stand them in good stead.

Come on the Blues!

Lack of depth to the young squad was Arsenal's downfall this year.
As Wenger has said, the difference between winning and losing has been a very fine line for Arsenal this season.
I'm sure Arsene will strengthen the squad in the summer.
Arsenal will bounce back bigger and stronger I'm sure.

Dave.

Professor Wenger's young guns get all the plaudits this year as far as I'm concerned. They're the nearest thing to Louis Van Gaal's Ajax of thirteen years ago, Total football, imperious passing and movement.
Hansen argued last night that Gallas' quality as Captain leaves a lot to be desired.
I agree, it wasn't just the injuries that prevented them from achieving more it was also the absense of leadership when it counted.
They will be back as a real force next year.
United weren't at their best, but it was a nervy last ten minutes.

I must be in a minority as I think they have flattered to deceive (as does my mate The Ginger Gooner). Lots of pretty patterns but nothing like the quality of Van Gaal's side. I hate to say it but ManUSA deserve to win the league by a mile ..... they have been head and shoulders above everyone else this season, while Chelski remind me of George Graham's Arse.

I just hope we keep winning so that the Stamford Bridge clash doesn't become a dead rubber.

Either that or a nouveau ponce.
Well that's a debonair way of putting it cetainly.
He must have a United bias, that is for sure.
Jorge Valdano however, doesn't, and is presumably a disciple of the beautiful game, with an equal ability for description.

Well Bats, my cup runneth over (naturally)with respect to your more than generous perspective.
I think Arsenal have done more than "flatter to deceive" this season.
They've only lost three games and are unbeaten at athe Emirates.
When comparing with Ajax you have to consider the respective leagues.
Arsenal's young side are playing in the most physically demanding in Europe, whereas Ajax were certainly playing in one with little competition- and from memory ,regularly romped away with twenty odd points to spare.
A clever bit of spending this summer should catapault Arsenal into a far more hardy side next season.
The only banana skin left for United is their away trip to Blackburn
A draw or loss there will certainly be advantage Chelsea, although that does rely heavily on them losing at the Bridge.

Arsenal remind me more of KK's Newcastle, all very pretty and dangerous going forward, but naive in defence and unable to shut up shop. My mate blames everything else on Eboue...

Chelski are unbeaten at The Bridge for over 70 games and have lost three times this season .... yet we are still criticised for being boring.

The main trouble with The Arse is that Wenger blames every setback on someone else and has goen on record as saying he doesn't need to buy in the summer.

Default other side to the shit on a stick

State of Valdano's stick should not be a carrot to Grant and BenĂ*tez | Sport | Guardian Unlimited

Of special interest to Liverpool and Chelsea fans.
