That's sad news indeed but very understandable it was quite evident on Tuesday he was not focused on the match. Just read about his loss I actually thought in the news they said she had partially recovered.

Cardiff will represent England in next season's Uefa Cup should they win the FA Cup by beating Portsmouth, the Football Association has confirmed.

Somehow the FA have not got a clue have they!!

There's a lot of dignity in that, isn't there? Going out like a raspberry ripple.

Had Platini's new proposal kicked in they could have a shot at a Champions League berth!

If you think of the rubbish teams who've been in the group stages they wouldn't have been that much out of their depth.

I do not believe it!

The BBC, in their wisdom, have signed up Steve McClaren as a "pundit" for their Euro 2008 coverage on Radio 5 Live.
He will receive 5,000 quid + travel expenses for his months work.

How on earth can he be an expert pundit - he was the bl**dy reason England did not make it to the tournament.
The clueless tosser has been rewarded for failing.

In a world where players are negotiating £100,000+ a week contracts, £5,000 a month is close to insulting. Well done the BBC....

Bit of a Bay Window, what??

After his payout from the FA he doesn't need the money ... he should give us a few laughs if nothing else.

Brilliant coach.
Crap manager.
He relied on his reputation as an innovative coach, to propel him into the uncertain waters of management, in which he failed quite miserably.
Thus £5000 a month plus expenses is about right.

I've reserved my armchair for tonight's big game Chelsea V. Man.U, live on television here at the more reasonable time of 9.45pm.

I'll be strapped in for what will be a topsy turvy ride I'm sure.
I can't wait.
May the best team win - with flair.

Fulham do not win away for 30 odd matches then they win 2 back to back, we might get out of this
