I listened to it on the radio and will watch the highlights later. A win as what was needed and we got it. It sounded as if we deserved it .... just.

I wouldn't say Ferguson is fawned over ( even at OT) but I too am amazed at the stick grant has received, for taking his team to a Champions league semi-final and a possible premiership title
Abramovichs purchase of Chelsea has been a double edged sword,his money has brought a certain amount of success on the field ,but he obviously expects constant success and wants to pick the team as well .First the special one ,without doubt one of the biggest and most accomplished managers in world football,didn't pick abramovichs team so was showed the door , then grant ,who has done nothing wrong apart from lose a cup final and he is under threat .
I would love to know ,who is being lined up as a replacement that will give moneybags what he wants ?

Chelsea's performance was excellent. Best I've seen them play for awhile.
The match was played with lots of passion and tempers did get the better of some of the players.
Even Drogba and Ballack had a full on argument about who would take a free kick.
Yet they were all cuddles again after Ballack scored the penalty.

If only Chelsea had not dropped those two home points against Wigan.

I only expected four points from the games v Wigan and Everton and we got those, albeit the other way round .... but that draw v Wigan will probably be the one that does for us .... unless they can get something off ManUSA.

The Sunday press are speculating that if the Dubai consortium take over at Liverpool the "Chosen One" Jose will be offered the managers job.

Apparently, when he was younger, Jose was a big Liverpool fan.

Apparently DIC had prepared a severance package for Rafa and put aside a contract for Mourinho. A bit odd as he's hardly popular with the fans.

Did you see our game yesterday? Birmingham have a neat routine going where Jaidi dances about in front of the keeper (in a very offside position) at set plays. Worked yesterday but I'd never seen it done before.
