Thanks Bats , I can't say I enjoyed the game but United did enough ,It's all about winning now ( shame we couldn't do the same at the bridge )
The only time I was nervous was in the last three minutes when the away goal would have killed us.I suddenly had visions of the special one ,skipping down the OT touchline when Porto turned us over
I thought United had a collectively solid defensive performance ,but the outstanding player on the pitch was Messi ,he is a genius ,I would love to see him playing in the Premiership ( but only at united )
Good luck tomorrow Bats , If you play it like It's a league game you won't have a problem

I can see a Chelsea Vs Manchester United final coming and once again can see Chelsea beating them once again.

There's a lot of dignity in that, isn't there? Going out like a raspberry ripple.

I was watching the earlier Man U Vs Barcelona match I could not help but hear so much bias towards Man U ,everytime Man U had possession suddenly the commentator's voice became very excited wheras when Barcelona had possession the commentator's voice was way down ,this happens so many times so I am not only picking out this match in particular, and there was me thinking that commentator's are supposed to be impartial to any team as there job is to commentate on a football match and not to be partial to only one team wether they be British or not.

Saw a headline that seemed interesting today - Ronaldo in transvestite hooker blackmail scandal - but unfortunately it's the Brazilian has-been....

Bit of a Bay Window, what??

I think you probably watched a different game than the rest of the nation outside Liverpool and Chelsea (excluding my impartial friend Bats )
Barcelona had an overwhelming amount of posssesion ,yet United were not overwhelmed and there were few clear cut chances ,could this be the reason the commentator didn't get too excited ?

ITV seems to be the worst at this ..... it often happens when any Premiership side is playing in the CL. No matter how well the opposition is playing the commentators often talk up the English side. Barcelona were pretty uninspired so United were on top most of the time, the commentator tonight wasn't too bad but sometimes they do take it too far.

Why unfortunately penfold ? isn't it better we only have football to talk about rather than scandal ?

I watched the same game as anyone else did, just seems whenever a British team is in the Champs League or even the World Cup the commentator's job is to be partial to either side....why ? simply because it is he/her job to be...whereas us fans can be...commentator's however can not.

Champagne football!

Hopefully tomorrow night should be more fun as there's bound to be a little bit of edge to affairs. It's one game I'll not be too upset to lose, Liverpool and United fans in Moscow could be a nasty affair with little love lost.

It is a pity we do not have a Select-A-Commentator button on our tv as life would be so much better for it.
