Total contrast to the BBC sense of fair play then ?

Prediction: Man United 1 Barcelona 1

For all his lip service to attacking football and open play, when the chips are down Ferguson's inherently cautious and conservative tactics race to the fore. United will look to play a game of containment that could backfire very badly as Barca only need to score once to swing the tie completely in their favour.

The problem for the Catalans is that the game takes place at Old Trafford, meaning United are all-but guaranteed a penalty at some point during the clash as well as all the injury-time they need while nothing short of the brutal decapitation of a striker will earn Barcelona a spot-kick of their own.

Great prediction from the ITV.COM WEBSITE ,obviously not written by Clive Tyldesley ?

Wonderful result for United.

I thought they played well considering they were without Rooney and Vidic.
The United defense held up pretty well.

An all ENGLISH final. Absolutely fantastic.
Shame it has to be played in Moscow. I can just picture 40,000 fans all heading to the Russian Embassy to get their visas.

Dave.

Follow,follow,follow
Because United are going to Moscow
There'll be plenty of Reds and they'll be p*ssed out their 'eads
'Cause United are going to Moscow.
Reverberated around the Stretford End.What a night.I'm overwhelmed.

Congratulations, especially to Carlitos Tevez who ran all night, Patrice Evra, who was a monster (again) and Wes Brown, who played his best game for United for a number of years.
Michael Carrick as usual, calm and sophisticated.
The Ginger Prince's winning goal was a belter.
It can only get better now.

Alan Green is as biased towards Liverpool as Tyldesley is towards United.

Marvellous stuff!!! Great side Barca' just lacking a bit up front but Utd

were splendid. I was worried when Vidic & Rooney couldn't play, especially

about the defence, but the back line were fantastic. Brown, Hargreaves,

Evra, Ferdinand all had storming games!!

Tevez & Park ran their socks off all day, great strike from scholesy!!

I'm a very proud red!

I wished the BBC had the rights to show it,then we wouldn't have that pretentious chorus at every ad break, and three times before the match starts.

Most of the media seems to think we should all be in love with Liverpool.

Good thing is that we could be 2-0 down at HT, but one goal back and Chelsea will have kittens.
