Congratulations to ManUSA. I was pleased that a second goal was scored at the JJB so that a penalty didn't decide it and was also pleased when Bolton scored. If we had lost it on GD I may have had to kick Emile Heskey's ass!

Cheers Bats , I think this has been a great season for the Premier league ,with three contenders involved for such a long time .
Arsenal thought they had it all sewn up , then United seemed to have taken control ,and Chelsea just kept plugging away and nearly snatched it with a magnificent late run .
I think Avram grant deserves great praise for a job well done over the season ,and his respect and dignity in defeat ,he is a gentleman

Needless to say Bats my thoughts for Moscow echo yours , but I don't want to stuff you 1-0 will do

I am not going to argue the toss with you over Roman A. But you have not offered a single word to me that would make me reconsider my own opinion - that his opportunity was aided by the sinister, criminal and immoral and that his fortune was stolen rather than won. I would however agree that if we are only discussing post USSR Russian business persons, he is, in your words no "worse than any other businessman who operates on that scale".

A memorable season.
Both the Ferrari's of Arsenal and later United stuttered at the final hurdle as they were inexorably pursued by the Mercedes McClaren of Chelsea.
A cool head was needed on the final day. It was nail biting until Giggsy's second though.
Very pleased for United.
Hats off to Wenger and Avram Grant for making a go of it.
The CL final in Moscow should be a classic.
Already looking forward to next season.

Quite frankly a contest wehere 2 out of 3 teams are not competing on the basis of their incomes is a total waste of time.Also it might be a bit more even if refs werent so chicken hearted and afraid to award penalties against United.Nothing will change next season but sooner or later United will meet their financial waterloo and that is a day when i am looking forward to.This is not a case of sour grapes but the realities of modern football.If we had had a decent centre half we would have won the league by six points but there you go we had Senderos.
