QPR decided to go for Dowie a very very very strange decision. He ruined Charlton, got relegated with Palace, destroyed Coventry and I wager that he will only last until the middle of the season at best.

There are some scarey sights in Football Stevie Boy. I certainly wouldn't want to cross Ian Dowie in a dark alley, or worst still in broad daylight!
As for his managementship credentials...................

Ronaldo may consider going to Real Madrid, what will United do without him?
1000 extra police have been drafted in for the Cup Final.Cardiff fans have a well earned nasty reputation and Pompey fans are no Saints(exccuse the pun).

We were in Cardiff for Saracens vs Ospreys at the Millenium stadium. It also hosted Wasps & Leicester. Never saw a policeman all day but down the road at Ninian Park, Welsh plod was in abundance as the Bluebirds hosted Bristol City.

It's a footy thing.

.....You couldn't hear it, if they were shooting at me with howitzers!

Amethyst is a very very happy man today.

We are on our way to Wembley to play either Doncaster or Southend in the final and then into the Championship we go.

I can not see Leeds Utd messing this up now.

There's a lot of dignity in that, isn't there? Going out like a raspberry ripple.

Orpheum, By chance I was in Cardiff with the family, about 3 years ago when the Wales v.England game was on. We were staying high up, very close to the stadium with a great view of the surronding streets. Never noticed any aggrovation and don't remember that many rozzers either.

You're right Harleybloke.
Due to the Rangers nightmare ,Manchester city council have now scrapped plans for screens in manchester for the champions league final next week ,and no homecoming parade ( IF they are victorious )
The Council were not going to provide screens for the Rangers game Initially ,to try and prevent the influx of fans without tickets ,but when it was obvious they were coming anyway they reconsidered.
A pity Mancunians will not be allowed together to celebrate (There were at least 100,000 in Barcelona in 1999 with not a bit of trouble ) in their own City

Are they still putting up screens in Old Trafford itself? They're intending to do that at The Bridge.

In a snoze inducing FA Cup Portsmouth win 1-0 against Cardiff. The only point of interest is that The Bats wins a few quid after backing Portsmouth to win the cup several months ago.

I think you should offer to share your winnings with Britmovie regulars who also watched it What a boring game

The singing before the game was the best part of the afternoon, especially lovely Ms Jenkins

I half watched the game. However as it was so boring i started reading the very long Nemesis by Max Hastings.I managed to read nearly 40 pages during the course of the final.By the way was old Motty having a brainstorm when Kanu scored. He seemed to think that it had been disallowed when the ref was pointing to the centre circle.

No screens at OT bats , I've waited for word of a change of heart but not hopeful.
My friend has bought tickets for the M.E.N arena which has a 20,000 seated capacity so should be better than the living room
