according to the papers today the salaries paid out by the top 4 were
Chelski 115 million United 85 million Arsenal 83 million Liverpool 69 million Chelski are predicted to spend 125 million this coming year. I wonder what the wage bill of Hull will be? |

then figures were issued by deloittes and are available on the web.As Arsenals turnover is in excess of 200 million the % wage ratio is well below 50%.In fact in his last year with the club Henry was paid a 5million pound signing on fee and was paid 100,000 per week which of cousre in total equates to 200000 pwer week.Given the way he performed last season it seems that Arsenal did reasonably good business by selling him last summer.

The Sunday press are speculating that there are now only two candidates for the Chelsea managers job - Carlo Ancelotti and Mark Hughes.
Although he has been warned away by AC Milan it appears that Ambramovich wants to persuade Ancelotti to take the Blues job. Kenyon is said to favour Mark Hughes for the job. I'm not sure that Hughes has really proven yet that he can manage a big club like Chelsea. Dave. |
