Man.U. may have thrashed Roma last time but I have a funny feeling that it will not be a walkover this time. United have had a bad habit in the past of losing vital Champions League games at home.
Their current defense does not look strong enough to conquer Europe this season. A backline that includes the likes of Ferdinand and Brown never looks completely confident against strong attacking teams. They are always likely to make errors. I think Liverpool are again England's best chance of winning the trophy. Dave. |

As a little aside, a copper told me the last time ANY fans made as much noise as us at St James' was when ORIENT played there. Premier fans don't know how to make a proper atmosphere was his comment.

True about the toilets! BUT I went to Spurs not too long back and there was nowhere to wash your hands after the loo!!! Disgusting. I went into the ladies to wash them LOL - well it was empty as the game was going on at the time.
But that was at a top flight club. Shocking.

At the risk of this becoming a conversation, a couple of Arsenal mates from Camdens Cape of Good Hope were impressed that we had bars of soap in soap dishes at Griffin Park LOL.
Spurs ain't that bad under Jol ( I know I know LOL), the biggest compliment I can give them is that they play almost like Arsenal footballing wise LOL. Ducks head again. |

![]() There may be no basins in the bogs but at least at the Spurs they do leave those small round yellow soaps in the urinal for the supporters to use. Dave. |

Your Dad was a very good judge, Greaves was without argument the greatest goalscorer since WW2, "the Fagin of the penalty box" he used to pass the ball into the net. A truly great player, unlike some today who supposedly attain that staus, but aren't fit to lick the boots of the truly great ones. What a player!! Batman Remember Maurice Norman well, signed from Norwich. Started as a right back and progressed to England Centre Half and played for Spurs in the Double Team of 1960/61. Very solid player who unfortunately broke his leg in a friendly against the Hungarian national team in 1965 and never played again. Had that not happened Jack Charlton may not have progressed to England centre half in '66. Two outstanding players from a great football era, who left us with some wonderful memories. |
