I can understand that .... what I don't understand is why all these Chelsea-haters are so 'concerned' about the club's future. I don't want to see any club in that sort of crisis but I don't keep going on about the Glazers or Hicks/Gillette as if I actually care about it. I'd rather concentrate on whether Torres is gonna link up with Villa or who will replace Ronaldo at Old Trafford. Or, more importantly, will Scolari bring the tosser Deco to The Bridge!

We don't need him or have room for him .... maybe it's a sign that Lumplard is off soon. |

Players like SWP, and Steve Sidwell went to Chelsea to further their careers, without the guarantee of first team football. Their choice. That's football money go round son and some dodgy advice from their respective agents. SWP probabaly at the expense of resurrecting his England career. Don't blame the clubs. I'm not really seeing your point anyway. The only two players I can think of that came from the Arsenal ranks, sorry three players, were Charlie Dimmock Ashley Cole and David Bentley Mr. Platini has gone on record criticising Wenger's policy of plundering Europe for the best young talent. The other day you were hailing the French wizard's power of perception that United and Chelsea are nothing more than cheats-meant in the broadest sense possible no doubt given their financial advantage, so I'm sure, given his messianic observations you have an opinion on Arsenal's youth policy. Wenger is hardly breaking new ground in his belief of giving youth their chance -Busby, Dario Grady, Ferguson and van Gaal to mention some forward thinking managers. Arsenal play some fantastic football and I'm sure will be even better next season, and with them United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and probably Spurs and Manchester City too will provide thrills and spills along the way. Not everything can be quantified and presented as an attractive spread sheet Orpheum. You do seem to use this standpoint for your arguments all the time. Arsenal have no moral high ground to take. |

For anyone whose interested or got the loot - Premiership side WEST BROMWICH ALBION is up for sale.
Investors are welcome. Rumours that long time fan Eric Clapton may be interested. Also stories of another Russian billionaire showing interest. Albion are one of the few fully solvent clubs around thanks to great financial planning in the past. I sincerely hope that all the speculation about the sale of the club will not cause friction in the team. Dave. |
