A classic moment from Tranmere's history. 1979, Rovers are losing 5-0 at home, one old fella can't stand anymore and decides to take out the Bournemouth goalkeeper with his walking stick.

In a similar vein is this moment - one fan decides he's had enough and offers to swap shirts with the expensive flop.

Listened to Villa v Chelsea on the radio .... we were very wasteful of chances and got what we deserved. I think this year the two team monopoly may be broken .... I hate to say it, but Liverpool do look very good.

Chelsea are just a blip and normal service will be resumed when Roman bores of his toy - or Maureen's football sends him into a spiral of depression!

My two favourite supporters are Roman and Eggert - both look as miserable as sin watching their team play.

Funny you should mention Eggert, he's just made an appearance in the lookalikes thread.

Yes, Roman did not look a happy chap as he watched Chelsea losing. He even walked out before the end.
Roman has often stated that he likes to see his teams playing fluent attacking football. Chelsea have not shown a lot of that lately.

Ever get the feeling that you're stuck in a time warp?

I've just heard that Heskey has been recalled to the England Euro squad.
Doesn't say much for the future of our national team does it?
What next? Bring back Gazza?

One step forward....two steps back.

Dave.

I have to disagree there ... Chelski have played some good stuff this season and were entertaining against Villa, we just wasted too many chances.

A kick in the teeth if you're Darren Bent. To be honest, apart from Rooney none of them appear to be genuine international class - Owen was but he's so fragile he's constantly injured.

Chelski didn't play too bad yesterday. Norwich, on the other hand, were bloody excellent. I watched highlights on local TV and they should've been about 5 up before they threw it away at the end.

Norwich have had some good teams over the years .... I remember a great 3-2 over the Gooners many years ago, winning goal was a flying header by the late Terry Anderson (himself a former Gooner).
