I have loathed Deco since Euro 2004. He's a decent player but may not be 'robust' enough for the Premiership. I hope I am wrong but I feel he will be spending a lot of time rolling about on the ground 'injured'.

Same here, I`ve always thought him a decent player; but feel that Barca have had the best of him. A bit surprised that Chelsea are signing him; but I suppose big Phil knows better than me.

Come off it, Bats - your campaign against our Stevie G is well offside. Drogba has done more diving than a U-Boat for god's sake!

I am not defending Drogba, but Gerrard is always diving about, he even conned a ref into giving him a penalty because the defender thought about fouling him .... and the ref admitted that was why he gave it!

If Droggy is a U-Boat, Gerrard is the Seaview!

What a lovely bloke that Joey Barton must be.

Already serving a six month sentence for assault Barton has now pleaded guilty to assaulting his former Manchester City teammate Ousmane Dabo last year.
After a training ground argument Barton apparently knocked Dabo unconscious and continued hitting him while he was lying on the ground.
Paul Dickov, who tried to stop Barton was also hit.

While at City Barton was fined several times for bad behaviour including stubbing a lighted cigarette into the eye of young teammate Jamie Tandy at a Christmas Party.

Time to kick him out of the game for good.

I'm not sure he's a bad person, but he has real issues with anger management and probably needs professional help every bit as much as he needs time behind bars to ihdulge in a bit of self-introspection.
