That's a priceless attitude .... I am not going to be loyal to my club and honour my contract .... but I want to make sure I get my loyalty bonus!

They're all at it, I doubt Hleb, Ronaldo, Lamps or Drogba have handed in a transfer request despite their vocal desire to leave. The only ones that do seem to do it are those at a small club and probably on low wages, and they know the 'big club' will pay enough to cushion the blow.

Adebayor pledged his 'loyalty' to The Arse the other .... so he'll on the move soon then.

Yes, he strikes me as being a bit of a brown-nose.

Lampard at thirty simply wants to make sure he receives £150,000 per week for the next four years. Abramovich refuses to sanction such madness.
Giggs from the age of thirty was offered one year rolling contracts and he's still playing at 35.
Wenger's policy is to offer no more than one year contracts to players over 30.

As I mentioned previously Scholesy, apparently Lampard HAS been offered a four year contract but he wants one covering five years.

He's been offered £140,000 per week (gross) over four years .... he wants £150,000 per week (gross) over 5 years. Inter have offered £115,000 per week (net) over three years.

Yes Dave, I meant five years not four.
I'm still surprised he's had such a generous offer though.
I think he's punching above his weight now and dining on his former reputation
as Chelsea's heartbeat. Clearly he's not the footballer of two seasons ago, but Scoalri may bring something more out of him.

I'm not a Lampard fan, I think he's a decent footballer, but he seems to have a far larger ego than Terry and Ballack put together, yet it is quietly manifested in an air of self-belief that can only be compared to the likes of Lother Mattheus and Stefan Effenberg. His is a rare mentality.

Lampard's record over the last four seasons:

Games Goals
2004-05 58 19
2005-06 50 20
2006-07 62 21
2007-08 38 20

If anything he seems to be getting better...

Ok, this question is aimed at the following..............cos for me as a Watford fan, I would love The 'Taliban' bust, outta business & gone cos I just hate 'em but.....

Bristol Rovers, Tottenham, Newcastle, Everton, Pompey, Millwall, Sheff Utd, Rangers, Manchester City,.................

The question is, a bust City, Arsenal, Sunderland, Liverpool, Soton, WHU, Weds, Celtic, Moanchester Utd................or is derby day more important???

.....You couldn't hear it, if they were shooting at me with howitzers!

Lamps is definitely not the player he was a couple of years ago .... those statistics to me show that the team around him isn't is good as it was and relies on him perhaps more than it should.

I'd laugh my rocks off if Utd went pop or got relegated, but then I'd grudgingly miss them. It's like Holmes without Moriarty, or Roadrunner without Wile E Cayote.

I used to hate Leeds and their cavemen fans but the contests were better than a lifeless match in a half empty Reebok or Riverside Stadium.

So I'd like to see Boro go bust as they serve no purpose.
