Ferguson was on the radio yesterday saying that they have put in a bid of £14m for Berbatov.

Apparently Kaka is on his way to Chelsea for what could be a world record transfer fee.

Yet another Brazilian joining the ranks.
Could this mean that Chelsea will soon be known as the Samba Blues ?

Dave.

I love that .... I think Huckerby handled it really well, you could almost see his tongue coming out of his ear.

I wish I had claws.

The interviewer seemed lost and was treading water until the interview ended.
"Legend" Huckerby handled it superbly.
I always rated him as a player. Hope he causes an earthquake or two in San Jose.

Dave.

So a lad reported on one of the lfc sites, apparently demento was being interviewed by a Norwegian fansite and said they'd bid for a player but never named names. They took it for granted he meant Berbatov and printed it thus. This was then picked up by the English tabs.

They showed it on Sky when he was in the airport on the way to South Africa and he basically said that they had bid for a player that would fit straight into the team and make them better. He refused to name the player.

Default Watford going bust!

Today's Watford Observer report that the 'Orns have to sell all their star players to raise £10m or go bust and lose 10 points a la 'Taliban'.

2 years ago in the premiership and over £65m in revenue over the past 3 years.

Do we have the same accountants as Mugabe.....................

.....You couldn't hear it, if they were shooting at me with howitzers!

Watford and other clubs struggling to survive and Man.U. agree to sign Tevez for a record 35 million squid.

A good player but is he worth that much?
I do not think so.

Another player way overpriced in the transfer market.
When will the bubble burst?

Dave.

I very much doubt Man U offered £14m for Berbatov having been turned down a year ago at £24m. Spurs must be hoping AC or Barca bid, they would much prefer him abroad rather than being reminded each week on MOTD what they had and sold. Top class player.

I'm not sure that's the true figure. When we signed Mascherano from Kia rumour has it that the £18m tag included wages for the term of his contract. These young South Americans are signed by Joorabchian under murky 'economic rights' (whatever that means) deals.

I love Huckerby!
The man runs like a clockwork mouse and his control is marvellous. Great shame that he's gone to America when he should be playing in the Prem.

Welcome to Anfield one Robbie Keane. I think he'll do well playing in behind Nando and offers a genuine goal threat unlike our other goal-shy strikers. If I'm honest I think we've paid over the odds (unless you're Chelsea) for a 28-year-old.

No tarmac/pegs/heather jokes!

Every bloody post you make some anti-Chelsea remark ..... you'd never catch me saying that Liverpool are a bunch no-hope wannabes with a Ricky Gervais lookalike as their manager, not me, no!

I wish I had claws.
