I hear that Adebayor was jeered by the home supporters during Arsenal's friendly with Juventus at the Emirates yesterday.

He'd better move to Chelsea then, we have a Golden Boot winner available for a swap!

I have never been one for knocking players,My first reaction when Beckham was sent off against Argentina was just get him back to OT ,and give the lad a chance.
When Rooney was sent off against Portugal,I was incensed by Ronaldos antics and didn't want to see him in a United shirt again.
His performances since have been spellbinding at times ,but I never completely lost my uneasiness about the lads willingness to cheat,so I think he Is perfectly suited to Real Madrid .Their pursuit of him has been underhand at times ,fair enough there's nothing wrong with announcing your admiration of a player ,and stating you would like him in your team, but their systematic ,pshycological press warfare, has been out of order and their latest tactic is to suddenly forget everything that has happened thus far and then state that there is a problem between UnitedAND Ronaldo

I agree offload him to the clubs advantage,I think he is a bad influence on Nani and Anderson anyway,so thanks for everything you've done Ronnie ,but I won't shed any tears at your departure .

Talk on one of the Liverpool sites that Alonso might be off to the Gooners.

Benitez's infatuation with the astronomically-priced Barry is genuinely bizarre.

I know it was only a friendly but Chelsea smashing five past AC Milan is some kind of result. Not to mention Anelka getting FOUR of them.

Maybe, just maybe, this could be Chelsea's year.

if chelsea get kaka like all the papers are saying, then forget about it!
i can't see man utd having the luck that they had last season and really don't have this 'unbeatable' squad that the media like to make out-dodgy keeper for a start, ageing defence, average midfield who over-achieved last season (obviously apart from ronaldo),decent forwards but not really goal-scorers,so 2nd or 3rd.
chelsea have the desire after the disappointment of last season and the best squad so are my tip as much as i hate to say it.
my team, liverpool,to make a stronger challenge this year, our problem is an inferiority complex and mental block regarding the league which isn't helped by rafas bickering with the useless american owners,2nd or 3rd.
i think arsenal may struggle unless they sort out an experienced centre midfielder fast-spurs and portsmouth to put the heat on the gunners for 4th spot.
everton to merge with tesco and win the gold medal for cheapest groceries.
stoke, hull and bolton to go down

I'd agree with you there Bats ,although Bolton would be a very pleasing relegation for me personally , I think west ham ,boro, and fulham will struggle this year as well
