Did you go?After all to loose to the Daggers.Even if one of their scorers,Ben Strevens played for my non league club Wingate & Finchley. However as your chairman is Greg Dyke he deserves all he gets for turfing wrestling of the tv.

No, my nipper went and couldn't believe how bad we were. Reading the report on beesotted.com the fans were getting very restless about it all. Who can blame them? Lack of ambition and any chance of success snuffed out by short term rash decisions every time. We could well go bust sooner rather than later, things appear to be that bad with dwindling crowds and all that.

Seven wins in eight games (one defeat in eleven) for the Shots after last nights victory over Exeter City, just a point behind leaders Torquay amazing bearing in mind Aldershot's expenditure must be a long way behind a lot of clubs in the BSP this season. Two absolutely cracking goals and a good crowd of nearly 3,000 turning up, bearing in mind Manchester United were live on ITV

A great win for Chelsea. A good performance capped by probably the best goal of the season so far courtesy of Cole and Drogba. While I remain unconvinced by his appointment, Avram's team selection and tactics were spot on tonight.

A good win for Celtic too which was spoiled by an idiot fan and some ridiculous theatrics from Dida.

Shame about Liverpool though.

Although no one can condone a fan invading the pitch I must say that Dida's exhibition was also a disgrace to football.
The slow mo shows that the fan hardly touched Dida and where he did touch him was on the shoulder - not the face.
Dida at first runs after the fan then had second thoughts and decided to fall in a screaming heap on the pitch clutching his face. His dramatic collapse was worthy of an oscar.
To see Dida then fain injury to the extent that he was carried off the pitch on a stretcher was totally pathetic and unsportsmanlike.
I hope the brainless Celtic fan will be punished but I also hope that UEFA do investigate this matter and bring a charge of bringing the sport into disrepute on Dida.

Chelsea are set to announce the signing of Ajax manager Henk Ten Cate as their new head coach.
Cate has signed a three year deal. He will be working alongside Grant
Cate has always been well known for encouraging free flowing attacking football.
His move to Chelsea could mean that Chelsea's No.2 Steve Clarke will now be on the way out.

Chelsea are also on the lookout for a new fitness coach and a goalkeeping coach.

Cate !!!!! So that's where my wife has been all week!

I have just been reading this on some Chelski online sites. If Cate has indeed joined the club it will be somewhat ironic as he had a huge row with Jose during the Barcelona referee debacle of a couple of years ago. According to the stuff I read he may get Avram's old job as Director of Football .... watch your back Avram. I hope they can find a role for Clarke 'cos he's done a good job.

A great result last night for Chelski, a much needed confidence booster as we try to get back on track .... it's early days but it's a good start.

Two comments made last night which I thought were quite refreshing ....

An AC Milan official re the Dida incident ''It is a matter for UEFA, I do not think it should invalidate the result of the match''.

Ricky Benitez replying to a reporter's question ''Why did you lose tonight Rafa?''
''Because we were awful''

The appointment of a DOF is almost equivalent to a vote of confidence.
I too was impressed by the immaculately suited official from AC Milan.Talked a lot of sense. However given some of the punishments that have been handed out by UEFA i fear for Celtic.Mind you the stewards have got to carry the can for this.

Great news for the Shots, we'll wave to you as you go up and we pass you on the way down.
