Not a breathtaking appointment certainly, but better than some of the other names mention like John Gregory

What is it with John Gregory? Everywhere he goes he seems to upset his bosses. Anyone know why?

Roeder's appointment has met with about as much as approval here as that of Megson's at Bolton.

I suppose it depends if you're talking about the European Cup, UEFA and CWC, or all those silly inter two-bob trophies. (Fulham judge themselves European cup winners)

I quite agree. Only those three are of any importance and the European Cup is by far the most important, which is why I have no problem in accepting the red scousers as the kings of British European football.

BTW: hate the Hallowe'en layout - can hardly read a thing!

Thanks for the support Fell. We do have more European trophies than Arsenal and Chelski and it maybe a few years before more comes our way, but I think one will come our way before Chelski get one. Watch the fighting start now, hehe.

Arsenal for the European Champions Cup? A very good possibilty.

Happy Halloween

Yes I remember seeing an interview with him on TV many years ago and how football had helped his English vocabularry. On P&P films which were too long and needed an intermission, he said “It’s a game of two halves. When they tried to give Blimp a ban I was sick as a parrot, but fearing early doors we clinched a decision in injury time! Livesey-ey played a blinder in Blimp the lad done fantastic, and Cardiff had a few good shots on target an' all! We decided not to expect to make it in Europe but to take it one film at a time. Red Shoes caused a stir amongst fans, now everyone’s got ‘em; red, blue, yellah. Film making isn’t A Matter of Life and Death, it’s more important than that!

Chelski have a better side than the Tots at present but that may not be the case next season. However, if the Tots are to win a Euro trophy it'll probably be via the Fair Play League!

Football changes so quickly, that's one of the reasons why I like it. Chelski should have won the Champions League a couple of years ago but were screwed by a dodgy decision. Cue outraged Scousers ....

Cant see a thing in the dark.Brazil get awarded the 2014 world cup without any competition. That tells you all you need to know about FIFA.Brazil dont have the facilities and will have to spend billions.I was there in 1984 and went to the Maracana.Brazil is a scary place and it is a whole lot worse than when i went there.Sepp Blatter is as bad as his predeccessor Joel Havalenge. If you watched the recent panorama programme youy will know what i mean.I just find internatiuonal football acomplete waste of time especially with men like Blatter and platini in charge.Turn the floodlights on somebody please. Here is a bob for the meter

You're not allowed Orphs.he's English, tho' if Monsieur Pratini gets his way Poor Arsene will save a lot of money on his scouting trips!!

I have to say the Platini is a mad frenchman with a lot of daft ideas. It is a free market and if the kids want to come to Arsenal there is precious little that Platini in his ivory tower can do about it.

A girl I work with is a big Arsenal fan and she is trying to find which famous people are also Arsenal fans.
So far she has:
Emeric Pressburger
Osama Bin Laden (well,infamous)
Kevin Costner (?)

Anybody else?
