Mark, Emeric Pressburger died in 1988!
Osama Bin Laden will die soon!
Kevin Costner died after The Bodyguard!

Don't get much better?

West Bromwich Albion have Eric Clapton, Frank Skinner, Goran Ivanisevic and myself as big fans.

Marky, Nick Hornby is another well known Arsenal fan.

I thought most celebrities were Chelsea or Arsenal fans! Or whatever team is in vogue at the time! Zoe Ball is a lifelong Man U fan and when asked who her favourite Man United player was she said "Michael Owen!"

I think they all jumped on the bandwagon after Italia '90 when it suddenly became chique to follow football, and Pavarotti sang the World Cup anthem that year, and so everyone with children called Wills and Demilsa rushed out to buy boxed sets of opera CDs and Italy football shirts! Even MPs came out of the woodwork declaring their undying love of the game (or rather, their lifelong love of freebie Directors' Box hospitality) and yet just a couple of years before all football fans were looked upon as "animals"!

A DOUBLE TOOT FOR Mrs Shevs

633 Squadron has a great theme and it's funny how many soccer clubs use this as their teams run out to play, I know it was used at Hayes FC, now called Hayes and Yeading. Does anyone know of any other clubs use 633 or any other British film movie theme as they run out. Curious to know.

I hear my beloved Spurs are running out to "The Great Escape". hehe. Thought I would get it in before someone else did.

Watford had the dire Z-Cars.....awful, cringingly awful.........

Then they got rid of it and used 'Chariots of Fire'

Local paper's sports editor then undertook a one man crusade, acres of column inches to get Z-Cars back............it went on for weeks..........in the end he got his way! ..... Bout the time it all went pear shaped for us...........I mean Z-cars, how inspirational is that!!
