Lets put it this way the finger of suspicion is not likely to be pointed at Liverpool.

Indeed not....but it still takes more players to throw a football match than, say, a tennis, snooker or darts match....

Bit of a Bay Window, what??

I see that 'Big Sam' has been given the dreaded 'vote of confidence' before tonight's defeat ... er, I mean match ... against The Arse.

Allardyce told job is safe

"Big Sam" with his ubiquitous earpiece and constant gum-chewing.
I can't stand people who are paid millions per year, yet are so precious they refuse to comment post match on the BBC.
Step forward Ferguson and Redknapp. Arses one and all.

Ferguson is being precious I agree ... but if I were Harry I woudn't speak to them after the way they portrayed him in that Panorama programme!

The England v.Croatia match should definitely be investigated. It was highly suspect.
Or is that just wishful thinking?

Strong rumours in Spain that Ronaldinho will be joining Chelsea in January.
Some reports state that his annual income with the Pensioners will be a massive 11.6 million quid.

Still on things Chelsea -

"ENGLAND WILL WIN THE NEXT WORLD CUP - if Jose Mourinho is made their new manager" - quote from Michael Essien (Chelsea).

Latest reports suggest that "The Special One" Jose Mourinho has officially been offered the job as England manager by the FA - and Jose is ready to accept the position.

The fact that Jose's family love living in England has helped him decide to take the England job.
Stand-by for the official FA confirmation of the deal shortly.

I think it would be fair to say that most fans will be very happy with his appointment.

I think The Special One would be good for England. What I like about Mourinho is that he creates proper 'teams'. Although his last few weeks at Chelski (IMHO not his fault) were a bit of a shambles, he took that team, which under Ranieri wasn't too bad, up to a higher level altogether. Everyone talks about the money available to him but, as have been shown many times before, buying the best players doesn't create the best 'team'. The coach has to cajole and blend those elements into a chosive and effective unit. Jose is, along with Arsene and Fergie, the best we have seen in the Premier League. It must be said that, although I am not a fan of him personally, Ricky Benitez has created such a 'team' as well. It's a good job for the rest of us that he doesn't play it all the time!

Without the extra hassle of having to buy players (such as Ballack and Sheva) he doesn't want, Jose will be able to pick his England team. Whatever happens, if he gets the job, England matches will certainly never be dull.

Jose for England - absolutely!

Did anyone else see the odd referrreeing in the Anderlecht v Spurs game last night.Spurs player goes down struck on the head by lighter thrown from the crowd.Ref comes over and tells player to get off pitch as he is injured!Does nothing to get police and stewards to go behind goal to sort out problem.Amongst objects collected from pitch after game is an iron bar! They must give out FIFA refs badges with cornflakes!

Interesting alright.
I have no doubt that had this happened at White Hart Lane then UEFA would have been swift to take action and launched a full investigation with a view to some sort of sanctions against Spurs....
