Yes, but Watford's away form is excellent.

West Brom., Watford and Bristol City now tied at the top of the Championship.
This division certainly is a tough one to get out of.

I see Aldershot won AGAIN. Good on yer Mark.

Dave.

Thanks Dave Yes I struggled to the game with my cold which seems to have developed into flu now Still it was worth it, a very exciting game and a great crowd of nearly 4,800. I still think our squad is probably too small to hold on at the top but I'm enjoying it while it lasts, and who knows?

Probably not.

But the Premiership is where all the big bucks lie. Promotion means a financial windfall to the three lucky clubs that qualify.
If after a season in the Premiership they happen to go straight back down then they still have the parachute payments to keep them solvent.

Out of the three clubs mentioned I think West Brom., if promoted, have the better chance of surviving in the top division.

This caught my eye a little while ago ....

"Rafa Benitez reportedly believes he will be sacked by Liverpool at the end of the season - and Jose Mourinho is poised to replace him at Anfield."

(source - online sports news)

So many F.A. Cup games.

So many replays.

Just shows that the gap between the lower league teams and most of those in the Premiership is not so great after all.

Default Football's Gone To The Dogs

Went to the 'Boro play Bristol City in the fa cup on saturday. Boro have a South Korean centre forward called Lee Dong Gook who came on a substitute. Some of the lads behind us started singing this song to the tune of ten green bottles:

Ten german sheperds standing on the street,
Ten german sheperds standing on the street,
And if Lee Dong Gook fancies one to eat,
There'll be nine german sheperds standing on the street.

Nine german sheperds standing on the street,
Nine german sheperds standing on the street,
........

A prime example of sport fostering inter-racial harmony and understanding!!!!!!

First he does then he doesn't.....then he does again and then he doesn't ....and now, once again, the latest is that Drogba says that he wants to leave Chelsea.

Dave.
Footballers normally do this to get a new contract and pay rise. Drogba probably wants at least parity with Terry.

I see you Aussies have been having fun in the cricket; great team but not quite sportsmen?
