Saw a great headline in a UK tabloid about that.
It was titled "Fly Me To The Toon".

Redknapp not going to the Toon.

Alan Shearer wants the job apparently.

That's the big question .... he is a good player but he is another mercurial one that's for sure.

Latest speculation is that Kevin Keegan will be resurrected and be joined by Alan Shearer in a joint management team at Newcastle United.

After the Toons debacle against ManU they need new management urgently.

Latest Toon gossip .... Houllier + Shearer. With The Arse slipping up yesterday Chelski are now only 4 pts behind the front runners.

Dave.
Even Alex Ferguson said the sacking of Sam Allerdice was too premature. There has been ten managers at the helm of St James Park since Fergie took over Manchester United, and it took him four years before he had the team he wanted.
I know some of the Toon Army would like to Kevin Keegan back.

Have heard it could be Shearer with Venables. the Toon owner has a mutual friend. Well it wouldn't be on merit. Either way, another bad choice!

Kevin Keegan has thrown his hat into the ring for the Toon job ... the Keegan/Shearer 'dream team' could be on!

The owners of Liverpool have admitted approaching Klinsman "as an option" in case Rafa decided to go and manage Real Madrid.Oh yes definately believable and i dont think.

You wonder why he mentioned it at all. A manager who has won the European Cup will be much sought after anywhere. He'll go before he is pushed.

It appears the owners are having problems financing the building of the new stadium, the banks want them to invest more of their own money before they grant a loan. The worrying aspect of all this is the debt which will be incurred. With credit becoming more expensive and inflationary building costs Liverpool FC will be carrying a financial burden for a long time and this will be reflected in the lack of money for new players.

There is talk that the American owners are unhappy, it will be interesting to see if they are still there in five years time.

Of course the solution has and always will be to ground share with Everton but that will be extremely unlikely. Or stay at Anfield!
