9/11 Conspiracy

Strange we should be debating the subject of 9/11 as a new opinion poll has been released in the US.
The US poll conducted by Scripps-Howard says 36% of Americans believe it is likely or somewhat likely that the US Government either assisted in the 9/11 attacks or did nothing to stop them.

Seems George W. Bush still has some convincing to do.

That has some validity as the FBI won't release a lot of information from the weeks leading up to 9/11, but that could be to cover up incompetence rather than collusion.

It has free videos that can be downloaded including a three part investigation into the collapse of the Twin Towers and Building Seven.
Part Three includes new information from eyewitnesses who worked in the Trade Centre regarding strange activities on vacant floors 34 and 98 prior to the disaster and also the total electricity blackout that the buildings experienced on the weekend before 9/11. The blackout shut down all security on the buildings.

The information is out there to discover.
Anyone interested in 9/11 should take time to compare the "official" 9/11 details released by the US Government to the video footage and information available on the websites mentioned.
I also was very sceptical of the conspiracy theories when I first started taking a close look at what happened on 9/11.
As I mentioned at the start of this thread, I started by looking at the released news footage taken on the day. We were all so shocked at what happened that we didn't really have time to take in all the details.
Looking back now on the footage and eyewitness accounts I'm left firmly beleiving that the public has not been told the complete truth by the US government about what happened that day.
Wasn't it 'The Guardian' newspaper that disclosed that out of the 19 terrorists named by the US as being responsible for the 9/11 attack - 8 are STILL ALIVE and living in the Middle East?

The closer you look the more you discover.

I've read a lot of stuff by the likes of Michael Moore, so I have no problem believing that Bush et al behaved greedily / selfishly / stupidly / irresponsibly before, during and immediately after 9/11.

But to say that they were actually involved in some way......it's possible, I suppose, but I've yet to be convinced.

I am. And I remain unblinkered enough to be able to see when people are trying to blinker me - in either direction. Just because I don't completely believe the conspiracy theories doesn't mean that I believe the government line either partially or completely. Even in a B&W film there are many shades of grey between pure white and pure black.

Strange thing about American space exploration.
The lunar landings in 1969 and beyond went without a single major hitch.
No capsules damaged, no crews lost, no radiation problems.
The landings seemed to herald the dawn of space exploration but then the US space effort drew to a halt.
Now some 30 odd years later the US are having major problems just keeping the Space Shuttle in orbit around the earth. Heat shields and other objects falling off the shuttle, crews lives in danger ect...

Just an observation.:)

Of course it couldn't be anything as simple as that the lunar programme was funded by the government as part of the cold war so no expense was spared. Whereas the shuttle programme often has major parts contracted out - and cost is a major factor in deciding who gets the contract.

Like everything else in this world perhaps the component parts are manufactured in a child slave factory in China, just like those cheap Sunday market screwdriver sets where the handle crumbles and the tip folds in the first time you have to use one! Apart from anything else the Space Shuttle looks a bit 1980s, you'd think they'd have facelifted the styling by now and made it a bit sleeker, with smart 19 "alloy wheels perhaps and a metallic silver paint job and matching Thule roof box and a mountain bike rack on the back, and lose those go-faster stripes pah-lease!

As for the 9th November conspiracy theory, I just don't know. Perhaps one day a President will be elected who will call a press conference and say" Okay guys listen up, Marilyn Monroe was murdered by the CIA because she had too much shit to shed on the Kennedys, the Kennedy's were murdered by Texas oil barons via the CIA, Martin Luther King was shot by the CIA as well, John Lennon was becoming too much of an activist, Princess Di was killed to stop her marrying a muslim, 9/11 was staged so that George W could exact his revenge on Iraq for screwing with his father, aliens did land in the 50s and we have them in a cage underground .........................etc etc Here are the files help yourself, oh and by the way Pontius Pilate was in the CIA as well!"

Eagle. The following verse is taken from the Quran, the Islamic holy book:
"For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The
wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah while some
of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced: for the wrath of the
Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah and there was peace."
That verse is number 9.11 of the Quran.

Type in capitals Q33 NY. This is the flight number of the first plane to hit one of the Twin Towers.
Highlight this:- Q33 NY
Change the font size to 48.
Change the actual font to the WINGDINGS

The quoted verse does not appear in the Quran at all. Chapter 9 Verse 11 of the Quran is concerned with repentance and charity. Abdullah Yusuf Ali's translation Of The Holy Qur'an, records Verse 11 as:

But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand.

Other translations may differ slightly in wording but carry essentially the same message. None make mention of the "wrath of the Eagle" or any other elements contained in the "verse" quoted in the message.

I think you shouldn't pass on information without checking its accuracy

"Q33 NY" is not the actual flight number or an aircraft registration number - it's a meaningless assemblage of letters and numbers designed to take advantage of the font's symbols to infer a prophetic meaning behind 9-11. The actual registration number of American Airlines Flight 11, the first plane to crash into the World Trade Center, was N334AA.
