Default Terrorist Alert !

News today that 84 high profile Hollywood stars, directors, studio bosses and media moguls have taken out a full page advertisement in 'The Los Angeles Times' denouncing terrorism in the Middle East.
It specifically targets terrorist organisations such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine stating that "We need to support democratic societies and stop terrorism at all cost."
The actors listed included Michael Douglas, Dennis Hopper, Sylvester Stallone, Nicolle Kidman, Danny De Vito and Bruce Willis.
I'm sure any terrorist that takes in the LA 'Times' will be quaking in their boots.
It could mean that Rambo and Willis will go after them if they do not behave in future.;)

I suppose their heart is in the right place, but it is going to take a damn sight more than a few Hollywood voices to make the terrorists squirm. A start would be the actual peace loving Muslims to start denouncing terrorism and ridding the evil from within by recognising that the west isn't at war with Islam, but at war with murderers who kill in the name of Islam.

The west isn't at war with Islam, some of the west is at war with anyone who stands in the way of their access to oil.

Tell me about it. Shortly after 9/11 I went along to my local takeaway only to find that Ashfaq had shut up shop and gone off to fight for Taliban. I could have at least put my inconvenience into context if he had been born there and gone off to defend his people, but he lived his whole life here!

Dave.
Wasn't Bruce Willis too scared to come to London for a film festival once?

Strange advert to take out when you consider the civilian deaths caused by Israeli airstrikes. One side has Syria/Iran supplied rockets - the other F16's and Abrams battle tanks.

Bet you can't guess which media mogul also signed it?

It talks of Lebanese civilian deaths being caused by terrorism. It should follow then that they are the victims of state terrorism but it cites Hezbollah and Hamas as being the kinds of terrorists who are responsible. It almost suggests Hezbollah are responsible for civilian deaths in Beirut.
