Default Birth signs

The appearances, on Little Britain Abroad, of Matt Lucas as "The only gay in the village" with a huge stomach covered in stretch-marks wobbling over the top of skin-tight shorts was enough to make me almost regurgitate my Festive Fayre (and go on a strict diet), but, in spite of my past aversion to him, I have to say I think he has found his metier in the part of Mr. Toad and I enjoyed his playing of the pompous amphibian in last night's BBC version of The Wind in the Willows.
Although my rational mind tells me there's about as much likelihood of the planets influencing our behaviour as I'm likely to meet an English-speaking toad, I am often able to guess a person's birth-sign by their appearance. I am a Piscean with a tendency to put on weight, a roundish-face and smooth, pale skin. I looked at Mr.Lucas last night and thought, "Yes, I bet he's a water-sign; probably Pisces or Cancer." IMDB tells me he was born on 5th March. I didn't have to check to discover which Zodiac sign that is because I was born on the 7th of March; Matt Lucas is indeed a Piscean.
No doubt there are many Pisceans who are pencil-thin and have skin like blotting paper, dark brown in colour but some people seem to me so obviously of their birth-signs I wonder if there's something in it. Does anyone else believe it or do you think it's all ?

I don't think appearance is obvious for people sharing a birth sign, but personality traits apparently seem to be more of a common feature. I share my birthday with Gilbert from Gilbert and Sullivan, and having read a bit about his life I can see something of him in my own make-up, but this is probably just co-incidence. David Hemmings and Kim Wilde also share my birthday but I don't see anything at all in their personalities which are similar to me or each other. So it's possibly a load of old tosh.

Using Zodiac signs as possible indicators of relationship matches is another thing that believers use, but I married a Virgo first time round and a Cancer the second which are possibly the two worst matches for a Scorpio. The one I didn't marry was an Aries which is supposed to be a good match!
