Charity walk for the CF Trust

Last April when I met Jenny at the Funday in Haworth Park for Cystic Fibrosis, I offered to do a sponsored walk for the charity. For those who are unaware, Jenny is a carrier of the gene and a very supportive patron for the charity. Jenny agreed to publicly back my walk.

The logistics took a bit of working out as I wanted to cover 200 miles and end up in Haworth just before this year's Funday but have to work the weekend before

Eventually, decided on the Hadrian's Wall Trail from west to east, cross the Millennium Bridge to The Sage Gateshead and then follow a couple of other paths down to Wolsingham in Weardale. This would allow me to get home for the intervening weekend to work and then return to Wolsingham on the Monday morning to join the Pennine Way in Middleton in Teesdale later that day.

The Pennine Way will then be followed down to Haworth, where I should arrive the day before the Funday.

Accommodation will be a mixture of wild camping, YH and B&B.

I should be able to get internet access for several of the days so hope to update my website with a diary and photos of the walk and training that I've been doing for it - I'll post the url for that when it is ready.

He would have if he knew who they were! I do know at least one has via my justgiving page and am very grateful for the donations from others here.
