Or worse, when he refuses to let me have ANY fun. I mean, he's survived most of my fun times - some people even sympathize with the limps, hunchbacked lurching and cat o' 9 tail scars. What's he REALLY got to complain about? Those photos on the Internet don't even show his face! Good grief... men-!

It's not like he's going to live forever, after all...

I once bought some underpants from a charity shop and was rather disappointed.

We took the boy wonder to the seaside yesterday and there was a boot sale on nearby. I found on DVD good copies of Riddle of the Sands for 50p and the Kenneth More 39 Steps for £1. I already have these in my collection but I got them for the patients at work.

Bats.

I have passed this thread by several times now, and just don't know how I can avoid follow-up comments to Sam about this, uh, "disappointment".

How ironic I once bought a thong for the wife from a charity shop , it was advertised as having been "kept in good nick "

Seems that the charity stores round my way are reducing the prices of tapes all the time, due to the fact that they are being overwhelmed by the sheer numbers being given. Same applies to the boot fairs.

I got some good 1980's comedy tapes from Oxfam which included "Norbert Smith - A Life" a really clever spoof documentary made when Harry Enfield was funny.

Also got "The Tony Ferrino Phenomenon" another spoof, by Steve Coogan. Poorly received at the time, it is brilliant.

Cheers

Ah Yes, the Soviet Union. All them wheatfields and ballet in the evenings
