name='Marky B']Went shopping early today and then took my dad for a little run out. We went to Saltburn-On-Sea. Despite the warmth inland,it was chilly and foggy, but we had a cup of coffee in the Ship Inn and my dad had a little walk to take in the sea air.

There is a photo of the Ship Inn somewhere on that link.

    name='Marky B']Hi Fg,

If you ever popping by Hartlepool,it is worth a visit. Come off the A19 on the A179 and it is the second roundabout. No children under 14 are allowed though.

The Nurse who filmed the conditions on wards for the elderly at the Royal Sussex Hospital has been struck off for misconduct.

BBC NEWS | UK | England | Sussex | Secret filming nurse struck off

"The chair of the panel, Linda Read, said Ms Haywood had prioritised the filming and did not fulfil her obligations as a nurse."'

"Although the conditions on the ward were dreadful, it was not necessary to breach confidentiality to seek to improve them by the method chosen."

"The registrant embarked upon filming many vulnerable, elderly patients ......... in circumstances where their dignity was most compromised."

Elizabeth Bloor, the BBC programme's producer, told the hearing there had been "an over-arching public interest" to produce the Undercover Nurse documentary because Panorama had received up to 5,000 complaints about conditions.

It was very cold and windy last night. It's supposed to be up to 90 degrees this weekend.

Contrast this with a similar story today, that of Damian Green MP, who was,

" (to) expose the many failings of the government's immigration policy. "

and wherein no charges will be pursued.

Purely and simply, bloody disgusting and all done in the name of 'patient confidentiality'.

Speaking personally I dread the thought of growing old and infirm in this 'democracy'; I'd rather blow my blessed brains out at the first signs that I can't cope under my own steam...

To strike her off the Nurses register so she is unable to nurse is disgraceful.

I wonder what happened to the nurses and management who created the 'dreadful conditions', no doubt went on a refresher course. As you point out Smudge, 'bloody disgraceful'. if I or any of my family/friends were in similar conditions I would want it exposed using any means whatsoever.

The sniggering and raised eyebrows from the audience was just rude! So, she`s not glamourous, big deal! Good for her!

    Watch out Elaine Page!

They've found a recording of her singing Cry Me a River from 10 years ago.

Not the best behaved dog we've ever had (we should have tried harder with training), but I wouldn't swap her for the world.

I don't think I've ever seen a white one before, and I'm sure I've never heard of that particular breed - Southlane. I've 'googled' to find out more, but the site you linked to is the only one.

I've just been looking at the photos there of the puppies and I'm utterly in love!
