I think your body pees it out when it comes to Vitamin C (but not some of the other vitamins) - but stop taking what you're taking and ring NHS direct or your doctor.

No, it's a water soluble vitamin so it won't hurt your body.

Careful! The acidity can cause serious tooth erosion.

I find 50% pure fruit juice and 50% soda water is a wonderfully refreshing drink at any time.

I used to take Vitamin C to stave of Colds but I still got them all the same!.........I found I peed more than average also and having a Job outdoors all day in residential areas it's a little inconvenient when you need to go!

I do take one cod liver oil capsule each day, I used to take three a day until an allergy tester told me not to as you can have too much of a good thing!

    From the Mayo Clinic:

"Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a water-soluble vitamin that supports normal growth and development. Vitamin C also helps your body absorb iron. Because your body doesn't produce or store vitamin C, it's important to include vitamin C in your diet. For most people, a small glass of orange juice and a cup of strawberries, a medium orange, or a serving of broccoli provide enough vitamin C for the day. Any extra vitamin C will simply be flushed out of your body in your urine. Still, it's possible to have too much of a good thing. Although too much vitamin C from your diet is unlikely to harm you, megadoses of vitamin C supplements can cause nausea, diarrhea, kidney stones and inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis). Rarely, too much vitamin C can cause faintness, dizziness and fatigue. "

Is it me - or is that bear arching its back?

I do rememebr reading somewhere that an Aussie professional athlete sought mediacal help because urinating was becoming painful. Turned out that he was taking in so much Vitamin C that he was passing crystals of it. Ouch!

Correct. It's the oil soluble ones that have a therapeutic dose.

Some very dubious antiquities on display in the pic. The bear looks in an incurable state of distress

I wondered what became of the bear that played Aloysius in Brideshead Revisited.

How sad - reduced to pensioner porn.

It's supposed to make you whiz, the Vit C is flushing out the cold from your body, that's a good thing.
