Its fathers day this weekend (so don't say you haven't been warned)

What was your favourite gift received over the years?

Or the gift you remember giving as a child..........

    Cheers

Don't mention Father's Day .... I have 14hr shifts (7am - 9pm) on both Saturday and Sunday. TBW is rather upset. Hopefully we will be able to celebrate on Monday (day off).

my dad has always told us not to waste money giving it to the card shops as he doesn't recognise 'fathers day' as a celebration like 'mothers day' which is traditional,so we(me and my two brothers) just generally help out with all DIY,gardening etc all year round instead!

    Moon.

I do get breaks throughout the day.

I do at least couple of those long days every week ..... these two just happen to fall together, one at the end of this week and one at the start of next week. It beats working five days a week, I never work more than four days a week, sometimes only three. I have been working those sort of hours for years, it suits me fine and I never work two weekends in a row.

    Happy Father's Day!

I bought some flowers today and chocolate brownies. So I'm ready for some major daughter-father bonding this weekend.

I feel for you. Not the best way to spend Father's Day.

Reminds me of the joke one of my teachers told. A Victorian photographer stopped three girls in Liverpool's Lime Street and asked to take their picture,

"What's he doing?", asked one of the girls as he put the cloth over his head.

'He's getting ready to focus", replied her friend

    "What! all three of us?"

Hey, that's awesome! The late great Jeffrey Hunter--also in "The Searchers," "A Kiss Before Dying," "Dimension 5," "Star Trek," "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour," etc.

I like the look of that and I might even be able to get there myself. The timing is good.

I'd love to see Georgie Fame again - haven't heard of him for yonks. We were neighbours in Chelsea in 1969 and I often bumped into him at the chish and fip shop in Fulham Rd. just around the corner from Sydney St. where I was living.
