This is going to be a wonderful 90th birthday year for Dirk:


Victim (BFI Film Classics)

In addition to writing "Dirk Bogarde, the Authorised Biography" and editing "Ever, Dirk, the Bogarde Letters", John Coldstream worked with Bogarde on "For the Time Being", Dirk's volume of selected journalism during the nine-year period he wrote for The Daily and Sunday Telegraph when John was Literary Editor. The volume also includes Dirk's articles for The Times, other newspapers, and literary media.

The censorship history of this is exteremely interesting particularly the attitude of certain BBFC staff members. Its covered in detail in The Hidden Cinema by James Robertson.
