    Morning All

Please forgive the shameless plug but Robert Sellers and myself have recently completed the first ever biography of Ernie Wise. 'Little Ern', The Authorised Biography of Ernie Wise has been written with the full cooperation of Ernie's widow, Doreen and will feature over fifty new interviews as well as dozens of never-before-seen photographs.

It's due for release on 7th October this year and is being published by Sidgwick & Jackson.

For more info please visit www.littleern.com

If you have any questions about the book please fire away.

    All the best

    Hoggers

    Good luck with this, Hoggers.
About time "Little 'Urn" was given his dues.

Agree. The shameful 40 Minutes docu in the 90s didn't help his reputation. To paraphrase a journalist at the time - 'and Wise' is not as dead as Morecambe - their work is still keeping both of them alive.

I hope there is a sequel the BBC film shown at Christmas following M&W to their 70s heyday

    Windthrop,
    I think I remember it.
Is it the one where he was doing panto at the time and the makers edited the programme to look as if there was nothing else to his life other than panto and that he was a sad faded former star without the real talent of Eric Morecambe to play against?
I hated the easy and lazy image they put up.
Maybe there will be another TV profile that sums up his contribution as a professional with more respect.

You need to proof read Robert Sellers' bio on your site James. There's a glaring spelling cock-up.

All the best with the book.

Ah, you spotted the deliberate mistake!

    Thanks for that
