Picked this book up recently, bit dated but still some intresting stuff in it, interviwes with Honour Blackman, di Rigg
and Linda thorson also New Avengers, j lummley, and the much missed Gareth hunt and of course Patrick macnee

Among other stuff in it, was That blackman was hurt with jibes of tratior when she left to be pussygalore , in Goldfinger, and some one liners refering to Fort knox and miami in her last show, also Diana Rigg ,who also left to be a 007 albit not right away, but Linda thorson seems to get the best stuff at end,

Some intresting stuff about New avengers too how it was very badly advertised and there was much mre competion in 70s than 60s on Saturday nights , in Kojak and starsky and Hutch on BBC, there was no way they could compete and when the Itv networks decided that they were not going to translate it at same time, they were on to a loser right from word Go, but when the Caninidan and French company who made Na, ran out of Money that was that ,

BTW, my Dad , was in Two espides of Avengers , in Death on slipway (which is missing sadly ) and Bizzare the very last Avengers , & in Na Cat amongst Pidgons

Of course the book might not be twisted somewhat just like all books can, but i enjoyed it

I think Dave Rogers' best book on the series was probably The Ultimate Avengers. He was a pioneer in getting books out on the series, but sadly parts of the earlier volumes were quite inaccurate, due to the lack of archive information he had available to him at the time.

In case you weren't aware, a version of Death on The Slipway was reconstructed from studio reference photographs on the recent volume 5 DVD release of The Avengers. May be it might include shots of your dad ?
