I think Alwyn Turner has also written a book about the career of Terry Nation. Alwyn was at the 50th anniversary event for THE AVENGERS in Chichester earlier this year.
Just got 2 books by Aturner, first one called Rejoice Rejoice , about 80s the 2nd one called Crisis what crisis about 70s , really enjoying the 80s one , its really good as it does not spend too long on each subject as well, just a breif discription of each event, which makes more for the not so big stories as well
i mean how many on here will remember the Name monica Coughalan ?? not many i would think , but in 1986 she became the most famous call girl in britian when she met a certain author on Victoria station , or Kinnocks Quip in commons when Thatcher had got guts , to which Kinnock replied, yeah, but pity, some had to leace theirs on Goose green to prove it ., plus many other tales

He has! And I can thoroughly recommend it too, it's a well-researched and written tribute not only to Terry Nation but to that whole generation of telefantasy writers.
He has a website here.
Hello there - I'm new to the forum :)
Found this thread via googling for AWT. Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the Terry Nation book, Gerald :) Crisis and Rejoice are a lot of fun, especially as I grew up in the 70s and 80s.
This seems to be from an old website of his, but he's done an excellent page of reviews about really trashy film tie-in books here: Movies (part I)
Thanks for that link, Vixel, and welcome to the forum!
