If the story is so interesting, why do you not enlighten the rest of us? After all, this is a forum for discussion. If you want to turn this into a quiz, why not use the games section?

I've experienced that on more than one occasion myself!.............

Do you mean this 'report': http://www.britmovie.co.uk/forums/pu...html#post71026 ? (not sure why it now has big letters, I didn't post it like that) I assume it is the lady called 'Arden' you are referring to. It's her story, she seemed to me to have liked him..... but I never have understood women, fully, myself.

I 'know' only what I read, the same as anyone else. Maybe I read more about his career than most. He seems to be a remarkable chap in many ways. I certainly find his performances remarkable and I have found the views and opinions he has expressed in press interviews to be remarkably consistent, as well as interesting, over his long career.

Here's what Margaret Trudeau said apropos Alexis Kanner's film, in her autobiography of 1979:
My 30th birthday has fallen as I finish this. I'm in Cassis in the south of France making my second movie, 'Guardian Angel'................ [some preamble]...... my first film, 'Kings and Desperate Men'. I may never make a good film actress or a gifted photographer, but I'm going to try.
You can imagine my chagrin when I tracked down her book and she never even mentioned Patrick McGoohan............

I had the pleasure of directing him in The Big Knife for television. Maybe I was lucky, we seemed to get on very well. I met him later in Santa Monica. Once again he was friendly and seemed glad to see me.

Well the story goes like this, Maggie Trudeau fancied herself as a bit of an actress and McGoohan took a instant dislike to her. He objected to her being in some movie, and they ended up arguing all the time. She lunged at him and he nearly throttled her. But seriously, a man to attack a woman is NO GOOD AT ALL, and knowing her mind set she may think of it as some sort of comeon.#
But Moor Larkin, you were 19 at the time and to say to a 50 yr old to F OFF is really disrespectful.

Also I know for some reasons that Patrick McGoohan is not very well liked by some actresses.
It maybe that they were trying it on and failed. HA HA HA.

For a man (or a woman) to attack anyone is no good at all

But Batman, this is serious. Patrick Mcgoohan is a big bloke and to nearly throttle a woman is bang out of order. Must be a very frightening experience for Maggie the 'actress'.

I was being serious ..... why did you think I wasn't?

If the truth of it is McGoohan assaulted her he was out of order and Trudeau should have prosecuted him.

Besides, in your your previous post you state 'HA HA HA' when referring to him being pestered by actresses, so you would appear to be the one expressing humour, not me!

Would you have thought it so funny if it was him pestering them?

If he was pestering them, they would go to the nearest KissandTell merchant.

Why haven't you acknowledged you were wrong in your previous post, or answered my questions.

It depends when you're talking about. Kiss and Tell stories aren't new by any means. But everyone doing them as an almost automatic reaction to any problem is a recent invention

This was a hypothetical question raised by me as the other poster seemed to think it funny if actresses had been pestering him .... and accused me of not taking it seriously!
