Spotlight - Britmovie

I have a copy of spotlight from the 50's. It was the book that was looked through to cast actors and actresses. It has pics of all the actors of the day. I have no real info on it. Anyone heard of spotlight?

Yes, I've heard of it although I've never seen one, I've never wanted to cast anyone

It has the information its users require which is a photo and contact details and perhaps information about any special skills the actor has. It's not there to give a full cv which presumably isn't terribly relevant to a casting director. For the curious it's quite interesting to see how current the photos are!

I did use it for many years and it got me some work...
The last photo I put in there I still had my milk teeth...

I just find it fascinating. Looking at actors such as Keneth Williams and others looking for work. Such nostalgia value.
